Wibble!
Unsure what I want to write about, but know that something needs to be written. So how about, a quick update? The tree is up and decorated, the fire-place is situated, marking — hopefully — where our open fire will one day sit. Alison’s wrapped nearly all the presents, we’re out of sellotape. Alison’s presents have arrived, even her birthday present is already here, but *shhhh* she maybe reading ;)
A mouse trap has been placed in the garage, to get the little varmints. I’m still referring to our lodgers as doormice, because I don’t want to deal with the truth. We did buy a traditional style trap. Why? Well, we were at the Iron Mongers in town, deciding whether to buy humane, or traditional. The guy in front of us opted for humane, due to preassure from his niece. Fred (his real name’s Phillip, we don’t know. Everyone just calls him Fred) was not happy about lumping up a fiver for a ‘piece of guttering’ as he called it. I thought that, we’d have to check the trap every single day to see if we’d caught something — to go and let it out. This would lower the effectiveness of the trap, as it would have to be disturbed. Then as soon as we let the fella out, he’d turn about face and come scrabbling back in… And lastly… No, not the money, but we’re quite forgetful. What’s more humane? A quickish kill, or being trapped in a piece of guttering with no food and water, slowly starving to death?
What else? Oh yes, reminder for me. Post Jezster the Action Replay card, so he can funk around with his XBox. Post Jenny and Ellie there CDs with Egypt photo’s on, with Christmas cards.
