Here’s a handy little application. Xfire is a Windows instant messaging, and gaming client which offers a few features for gamers, and chat-a-holics alike. First off, Xfire presents an instant messaging network — whilst in-game — so no alt-tabbing to a chat window to see who’s creating all that noise. Ok, not bad, but Xfire Plus host a plugin for Xfire that enables chatting with your MSN users, using the same in-game mechanism. There’s also built in voice-chat, game lobbying, and one-click joining to games that are being hosted by contacts.

Interesting stuff. Hopefully there’ll be a in-game video conference feature in the future.
