Twitter…

I’ve been tinkering with Twitter, which is a bit like a manual desktop presence interface. Well, manual to start with, but easily automated from various applications, and — of course — with the Web 2.0 social element. I.E. Seeing what your friends are twittering on about. I’ve added some blog tools here which will allow some further intergration into Twitter. I’ve also hacked a plugin for XChat, which allows gamers to automatically update Twitter when they connect to game servers. You can see my post about it, here.

This is Furistic Sex Robotz homage to Data :)

I took a bit of time out today to experiment with a fake tilt shift technique in the GIMP. I took one of the city-scape photographs of New York (from our January trip), and applied the effect.

I think they’ve come out quite well, like a aeriel photograph of a large scale model. The first uses a Gaussian blur, whilst the second uses a Focal blur, each has their own unique atmosphere.

On another note, I saw a movie today of a guy rapping, called Monzy he’s kind of in a genre called Nerdcore. Also check out Futuristic Sex Robotz :D

This is my first High Dynamic Range (HDR) photograph. It was created
using three photographs of varying exposures (EV1) using an Olympus
E-500. The photographs were then turned into a HDR image and Tone
Mapped entirely using Free and Open Source Software.

The subject/composition isn’t very imaginative, as I don’t yet own a tripod, so it’s what the nearest table was looking at :D

I intend to invest in a tripod in a week’s time, so expect many more HDR images as I play and experiment with this medium.

This one made me chuckle, I can just imagine the fun they used to have on that set. He also does us proud by pronouncing his ‘Z’s correctly ;)
