Worth noting that this doesn't seem to be an issue in Fedora Core 11, as the partition that that holds the SWAP LVG is encrypted.

A conversation I have had quite a few times over the last few years. This comedy clip from Mitchell and Webb is always a good rejoinder to the conversation.

Educating people that identity is not the same as authority is a slow process but I think people are waking up to the concept that this really is Banks and financial companies trying to offload their responsibilities for our money that we left with them.

Not bad. But can Jim shed some light on the probability of meeting inter-dimensional lifeforms? ;-)

It reminds me of that bit of dialogue in Dumb and Dumber where Jim Carey's character like the woman and he says some thing along the lines of,

"So what are the chances of us two hooking up?"

She replies

"about a million to one"

To which he responds,

"I see what you're saying... you're saying I've got a chance!"

That, I think, perfectly sums up the aspirations of those seeking E.T. despite these facts which you have quoted staring them in the face.

How's that - using a Jim Carey example in a somewhat intellectual debate!
